Duties and Responsibilities: Develop camera controller on dual core ARM/DSP architecture interacting with various peripherals such as: inertial sensor, Ethernet, serial communication, video server, pan/tilt mount. Maintain, update, and add new hardware support to existing camera control software. Work with research team to transition new features from the laboratory to product. Travel internationally to support installation of camera systems and larger surveillance systems. Support camera research projects as needed. Support related software integration tasks as needed.

Requirements: Must have strong C/C++ and Linux programming skills. Experience with real-time embedded software development and ability to learn new processors and devices. Good writing and communication skills. Other desired skills include:

• Experience with communication protocols in Linux environment.
• Hardware prototype design and development experience.
• Video codec and image processing knowledge.
• Knowledge of TI DaVinci family architectures is a plus.

Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related experience. Masters desired.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in office and lab environment, work at computer terminal, lift and carry up to 75 pounds, occasional stooping, kneeling, walking, climbing heights, and crawling.

Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel up to 25% time both domestic and internationally.
