The National Science Foundation Funds TSi's Development of Advanced Health Monitoring, Prognostics, and Maintenance Technology

Under support from the National Science Foundation TSi continues to develop advanced tools for health monitoring and prognostics in the context of equipment maintenance. In the most recent phase of this work, TSi is developing “data mining” tools to quantify the impact of preventive maintenance practices on equipment performance.

Using data supplied by the Otis Elevator Company, which has an extensive PM program in operation for many years, TSi is developing a data mining application to determine the optimal timing of PM procedures to maximize machine performance.
