TSi's New Optical Fiber Round Exit Velocity (OFREV) System

Successfully Tested Under Live Fire

Engineers from the TSi Defense Systems Group conducted successful live fire testing of a prototype of a patented fiber optic based system to measure the velocity of projectiles fired from cannon weapon systems.

The live fire testing was conducted at the US Army TACOM-ARDEC Armament Test Facility (ATF) 300 meter indoor range located on the 25 mm M242 Bushmaster Cannon at Picatinny Arsenal , NJ . The results of the testing were very promising and TSi plans to conduct additional tests of the OFREV system at two potential customer sites during the fourth quarter 2003 and first quarter 2004.
