Partnerships

Techno-Sciences is proud of its association with the following companies and academic institutions in the design and development of new technology:

Otis Elevator Co. , a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation , is the world's largest manufacturer installer, and servicer of elevators, escalators, moving walkways and other horizontal transportation systems. Techno-Sciences is working with Otis on the development and deployment of the Automated OMMS system, a tool for management and scheduling of maintenance operations.
General Dynamics Advanced Technology Systems which develops, manufactures, and deploys advanced communication, sensor, and processing systems for the Department of Defense as well as commercial customers. Techno-Sciences and GDATS are working together on systems for health monitoring in jet engines using GDATS Eddy Current Sensor technology and TSi's signal processing algorithms.
RST Logo
General Dynamics Robotic Systems, Inc. is an ISO 9001, value-added contract manufacturer with a strong advanced engineering capability. Our specialty is the design and manufacturing of complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems and subassemblies. Techno-Sciences and RST are working together on high performance gun mounts for the US Army.

Liberty Maritime Corporation has an international reputation as an outstanding vessel operator and manager. Their vessels operate in the preference trades of the United States as well as the subsidized foreign commercial trades. Liberty has successfully operated LSG's U.S. flag bulk carrier fleet since 1988. The Liberty staff provides a unique blend of expert U.S. flag and foreign flag ship operating experience with vessels of varied types and sizes. Liberty has been a close partner in the testing of our voyage information systems.

Research

The Pennsylvania State University College of Engineering has a long history of excellence in research and education. Penn State has a strong research program in the area of prognostics and remaining life prediction, and they have been pioneers in the field of life extending control. Professor Asok Ray, Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering, leads this effort at PSU. He also leads an Army Research Office (ARO) Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI) to conduct theoretical and experimental research on pervasive failures in complex systems. Techno-Sciences, Inc. has been working with Professor Ray on the development of algorithms for data driven prognostics.

The Massachsettes Institute of Technology (MIT) Gas Turbine Lab has a worldwide reputation for research and teaching at the forefront of gas turbine technology for over 50 years. The Gas Turbine Laboratory is a research organization within the academic department of Aeronautics and Astronautics in the MIT School of Engineering. Techno-Sciences, Inc. has been working with Jim Paduano at the MIT Gas Turbine Lab on development of algorithms for engine stability and damage monitoring and control using non-contacting blade tip sensors.

The University of Maryland
The University of Maryland and Techno-Sciences have closely collaborated on numerous projects. Our collaborations have included projects in the areas of fiber optic sensors, nonlinear filtering, and aerospace engineering.
