TSi Completes Successful Installation of the Second MEOSAR Ground Station for U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Beltsville, Maryland – March 5, 2014 – Techno-Sciences, Inc. (TSi) today announced the successful installation of the second COSPAS-SARSAT Medium Earth Orbit Search and Rescue (MEOSAR) satellite Ground Station for the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the U.S. government agency responsible for the U.S. SARSAT program. After TSi’s successful implementation of the world’s first operationally ready six-channel MEOSAR Local User Terminal (MEOLUT) in Hawaii in September 2011, the latest MEOLUT installation at the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) COMSTATION facility in Miami, Florida, marked an important milestone for TSi and the US SARSAT Program.
The US SARSAT Program is a key participant of the international COSPAS-SARSAT Programme which has helped to save over 35,000 lives since its inception in 1982. Managed by NOAA, the US SARSAT Program is a joint program with NASA, the US Air Force and the US Coast Guard.

Les Ulis, France, December 17th 2013 – Orolia (NYSE Alternext Paris – FR0010501015 – ALORO), global specialist in critical GPS applications, announced today that it entered into an agreement to acquire Techno-Sciences, Inc. (TSi), an advanced technology company in the field of search and rescue satellite ground stations and integrated multi-site emergency response solutions based in Beltsville MD near Washington DC (USA). The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and approvals, including approval of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) which is expected to occur in the second quarter of 2014. Through this acquisition, Orolia will be the only company capable of supplying a single-vendor, end-to-end COSPAS-SARSAT emergency solution from distress beacons to satellite communications to mission control centres equipped with search and rescue management software.
US Army Awarded TSi SARSAT Software and System Maintenance Contract

BELTSVILLE, MD. (November 7, 2013) – Techno-Sciences, Inc. (TSi) today announced the award of a software integration and SARSAT system maintenance support contract. This contract is awarded to TSi by the US Army, after a competitive open bidding process, to provide Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) software and maintenance support services for the Army’s COSPAS-SARSAT systems in Qatar and Afghanistan. TSi RCCNET software and support services will provide detection and notification support for the US Army's 406 MHz Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) program.

Orolia announces a strategic partnership with the American Techno-Sciences, Inc (TSi), one of the world leaders in ground infrastructures for COSPAS-SARSAT international search and rescue systems.
By entering into this agreement, the two world leaders will have the capability to control the both ends of the COSPAS-SARSAT system, from the sending of alerts via Orolia’s distress beacons to the localization of beacons and the management of rescue missions via the ground segment supplied by TSi.
