US Army Awarded TSi SARSAT Software and System Maintenance Contract

BELTSVILLE, MD. (November 7, 2013) – Techno-Sciences, Inc. (TSi) today announced the award of a software integration and SARSAT system maintenance support contract. This contract is awarded to TSi by the US Army, after a competitive open bidding process, to provide Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) software and maintenance support services for the Army’s COSPAS-SARSAT systems in Qatar and Afghanistan. TSi RCCNET software and support services will provide detection and notification support for the US Army's 406 MHz Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) program.

Orolia announces a strategic partnership with the American Techno-Sciences, Inc (TSi), one of the world leaders in ground infrastructures for COSPAS-SARSAT international search and rescue systems.
By entering into this agreement, the two world leaders will have the capability to control the both ends of the COSPAS-SARSAT system, from the sending of alerts via Orolia’s distress beacons to the localization of beacons and the management of rescue missions via the ground segment supplied by TSi.

Techno-Sciences, in collaboration with Safe, Inc. and the University of Maryland, has been awarded a Phase II SBIR from Naval Air Warfare Center’s Aircraft Division to develop Multi-Axis Vibration Reduction for Increased Comfort (MAVRIC) seat technology for the E-2 Hawkeye airborne early warning aircraft .
