US Mission Control Center In July of 1991, Techno-Sciences was contracted by NOAA to replace the US SARSAT Mission Control Center (USMCC). In its role as the hub of the United States ground segment, the USMCC supports and controls twelve (12) national LUTs, the portable Operations Support Equipment, the Systems Support Equipment. It also served as a nodal MCC for several other COSPAS-SARSAT MCCs. The USMCC processed more data than all of the world’s MCCs combined.
While under TSi maintenance, the USMCC achieved an availability of 99.82% and never missed a message. (Click for a larger image) |
