Techno-Sciences, Inc. is a leader in the research and development of smart or adaptive materials for rotor control. Several control systems concepts comprised of compact, electromechanical actuators for rotor blade pitch control, active trailing-edge flaps, and adaptive damper/shock absorbers have been developed at TSi with our collaborators and have been shown to have measurable impact on rotor vibration and noise in model-scale tests. TSi offers a wide range of advanced, state-of-the-art flight control actuators based on piezoelectrics, electrostrictives, magnetostrictives, and magnetorhelogical fluids.
