TSi and AMSA Extend 5-Year SAR System Contract for Enhanced Operations

Lanham, Maryland, USA – September 28, 2023 – TSi proudly announces the extension of their successful partnership with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA)through a new 5-year Search and Rescue (SAR) system Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract. This landmark agreement signifies a substantial expansion in maintenance support and services for Australia’s critical SAR satellite ground station system.

Building upon a decade-long collaboration, this contract renewal follows the conclusion of a 10-year engagement during which TSi modernized AMSA’s Cospas-Sarsat infrastructure and provided unwavering maintenance support. The seamless continuation of this partnership underscores the exceptional level of trust cultivated over the years between AMSA and TSi.

In this next chapter, TSi assumes an even more pivotal role by hosting the Australia Mission Control Center (AUMCC) off-site and overseeing its operations with a dedicated team. This evolution showcases not only the breadth of TSi’s capabilities but, more crucially, delivers an invaluable solution for AMSA. By assuming AUMCC operations and management, TSi empowers AMSA’s personnel to redirect their focus onto other SAR mission-critical endeavors.

This 5-year extension cements TSi’s commitment to enhancing the SAR landscape. The collaboration promises to fortify Australia’s SAR capabilities, ensuring rapid response and effective operations during emergencies. TSi’s dedication to operational excellence and innovation aligns seamlessly with AMSA’s vision, thus making this partnership a cornerstone of maritime and aeronautical safety.
